ABOUT
Originally from the Chicago area, I moved to Missouri in 2015 and graduated from the University of Missouri in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Music Education and a concentration in piano performance. During my undergraduate, I was heavily involved in several collegiate choirs and operas, accompanied the MU Women’s Choir as well as individual vocalists, and taught private piano/voice lessons to students in grades K-12. In 2025, I finished my MM in Music Education at Bowling Green State University.
I have taught in both private and public schools in Boonville, Kingdom City, and Columbia for the past 8 years and am currently the 3rd - 12th grade choir director at Columbia Independent School. In addition to teaching and accompanying, I have also vocally directed with TRYPS, a local theatre troupe, worked as a collaborative pianist for school districts in the area, and have enjoyed various performing opportunities as a soprano, such as the Southside Philharmonic Orchestra’s early baroque program and the Bach Collegium Choir.
As someone who developed my passion for music in early middle school, I love creating a space where students feel comfortable trying new things, making mistakes, and discovering their strengths. My lessons are tailored to each student's age, experience, interests, and goals, whether we're building music literacy skills, performance practice, or learning their favorite song. I want students to leave lessons feeling successful, challenged, and excited to keep making music!
